Spring is here and the lilacs are in full bloom! They are definitely the most photogenic thing in our yard ( Other than my girls of course….. Look at how little they look in these images from just last year!)
A handful of years ago I planted some very small lilac bushes in front of our garage. It is the best decision I have ever made! I love the smell so much that I went outside to forage some branches to dry in the hopes of turning the dried petals into potpourri sachets.
Once I collected a few branches I simply tied them together using a rubber band and some twine.
After I tied the bouquet together ( yes, I have the WORST chipped manicure right now) I hung it in our downstairs guest bath. We rarely use it, so I thought it would be the perfect place to dry the blooms. 
Once the blooms dry I will place them in sachets to keep in our drawers….
We loved walking along the boardwalk and enjoying the breeze coming off of the ocean.
